Family Dentistry
Dental health care should begin at a young age and requires regular visits to maintain good oral health and to keep your smile – and your body – healthy! Our skilled team takes the guesswork out of dentistry and makes sure both children and parents feel comfortable and relaxed under our care.
Restorative Care
Restorative dentistry involves restoring lost or damaged teeth due to dental disease or injury. It may include dental fillings, crowns, bridges, implants, or complete and partial dentures. Our team has experience and expertise in each of these areas and ensures the procedures are virtually pain-free and comfortable, with exceptional results.
Emergency Care
Dr. Zuidema and Dr. Hess consider dental emergencies serious and will do whatever they can to see you the same day you call. Acute or persistent tooth pain, a knocked-out permanent tooth, a chipped tooth, and injuries or infections involving the gums, tongue, or cheek lining are all considered dental emergencies. Have an emergency? Contact us now.
Sleep Apnea and Snoring
Sleep is crucial to stay mentally sharp, energized, productive, and healthy. But 1 in 5 Americans have some form of sleep apnea and only 10 percent of them are actually aware of it. Treating sleep apnea may require a C-PAP machine or dental mandibular advancement device (or snoreguard). Does your sleep partner snore? Are you tired of your C-PAP machine? Our office tests for sleep apnea and will bill your medical insurance if a dental device is the right solution for you.
Root Canal Therapy
Root canal therapy (also known as endodontic therapy) is a treatment needed to save a tooth that has become badly decayed and infected. Dr. Zuidema and Dr. Hess do their best to ensure that this process is quick and comfortable, using the latest dental materials, processes, and technologies to ensure a successful outcome. For the most difficult teeth, an experienced specialist will be recommended who holds to the same standards of patient care.
Implants & Oral Surgery
Oral surgery may be performed to relieve pain, to treat an infection or trauma, to restore function, or to improve a person’s appearance. The most common procedures include tooth extraction, dental implants, corrective jaw surgery, biopsy/tissue removal. Dr. Zuidema and Dr. Hess, or a highly respected specialist, will provide the treatment you may need in a comfortable and relaxed setting.
Pediatric Dentistry
Our highly skilled and empathetic team makes kids feel comfortable and at ease, especially our first time youngsters who may not know what to expect during a dental visit. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children see a dentist by their first birthday. This allows our doctors to detect developmental problems and cavities earlier and to answer any parental questions. This early care begins building a trusting relationship as well as lifelong health benefits!
Preventative Care
Routine cleanings help avoid cavities, gum disease, gingivitis, periodontitis, and enamel loss. This ensures your teeth remain strong and healthy. Our team recommends visits every six months, though some patients may require preventative services more often based on dental exam results.
